Live from Los Angeles

E3 is in full swing this week. As I mentioned before, Microsoft showed their stuff last night. Today was Nintendo and Sony's turn. Nintendo shows us some nice games and a new DS which I could care less about, really. The games look nice, I'd consider getting one if I owned a Wii. Sony showed off some very impressive technology and some nice games through their Move and 3D systems. Though the presentation ran for two hours and had enough content for one. I'd definitely consider getting some of their stuff where money no object. Seeing Gabe Newell from Valve make an appearance was also nice.

There was more cake today in work. That's the fourth time there's been cake since I started here. They seem to really like it, though a co-worker told me that they don't have cake near as often as they did in the old days. Makes me wonder if their old building played host to week long cake sales and baking competitions. It might explain why everyone seems to obsessed with exercise and keeping fit. Need to counterbalance the cake intake.

Washing the dishes in the bathroom will never cease to be odd to me. living in a small space, I have to make do with what I have. I running out of inspiration with my limited cooking utensils. I've started cooking two days worth of pasta and keeping half, as I'm fed up with sitting down to boil more up every evening. I really need to figure out something that I can prepare with just a small pot, a hot plate and a microwave. Of course, I could always make salad, though I'm not sure I'm ready to go down that road just yet. It's a scary concept.

Katanagatari is getting better with passing episodes; Further character development leads to interesting twists and protagonists flawed in interesting ways. I'm enjoying the show, it has everything and it's solidly entertaining. They even managed to make episode 4 a great big joke at the audiences expense, yet progressed the plot in a big way at the same time. All round good stuff.

  1. You can make lots sean.. chop up chicken and cook it in the pot, then put some sauce on it, like korma or sweet and sour, then get some microwave rice.

Be brave man, cook some meat!

  2. That sounds doable, but I haven't been able to find microwavable anything in the shops around here.

I guess I could just cook the meat and then leave it aside while I cook the rice.
